The main season for the production of sugar salted roes are primarily during the winter fisheries (January – April). During this period the main fish species are arriving at the coast to spawn. This allows us to make a supreme quality roe product.
Sugar salted roe is produced by using both sugar and salt in a fine mixture.
The product is packed in plastic barrels containing 100 kg net weight. The roe is hand packed into the barrels with the salt/sugar mixture between each layer.
This is to ensure the best quality product.
We offer sugar salted roe from cod, haddock, saithe and tusk depending on season.
